Objective: To provide operators with the knowledge and practical skills to operate a Fork Lift Truck safely and efficiently, according to regulations therefore  minimising risk factors.

  • Servicing and daily checks
  • Hydraulic system
  • Lift Truck stability
  • Capacity plates and de-rating factors
  • Handling loaded and unloaded pallets
  • Vehicle loading and unloading
  • Driving on inclines and ramps
  • Legislation

Duration: Based on 4 Operators per Instructor

Operator Re-Certification: 1 Day (4 hours Theory & 1 hour Trainee Practical)

Operator Certification: 3 Days (15 hours Theory & 1 day Practical)

Novice Operator Certification: 5 Days (15 hours Theory & average 3 days Practical)

Target Population:

Operators, Supervisors and Managers requiring training in terms of the Driven Machinery Regulation 18(11) of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
